TOO many Options.....

My kinetic jewellery is all about moving andd wearing in different styles. So one have different options to wear one piece.

For example- Kinetic Neckpiece........ BUY- https://www.etsy.com/listing/111745796/kinetic-neckpiece-kpdgs08
You can move all circle in one straight line and wear it in centre or sideways. (above)

Then you can fold the circle at any angle. (above)

zig- zag!

You can take out clasp from one silver ring ang put in any other silver ring. Above photo shows that now you can wear the same neckpiece in long pendant style.

Or someday if you dont want long pendant , you can make it short.

So YOU DECIDE HOW YOU WANT TO WEAR IT!

Then one day someone asked if i can provide option in colors?? I said let me think about it.
Above is the same kinetic neckpiece ( as red). This one is black on one side ( above) and grey one the other side (below). Also available blue on one side and grey on other.

When you fold in upward direction , you can wear the black side (above) . And when you fold in downward direction, you can wear the grey side (below.).

Young Blood Designers Market 2012

My first time in Sydney for Young Blood Designers Market at Powerhouse Museum. As a business I learned alot and met some amazing people.

First I want to Thank all those people who came to the market and appreciated and accepted my work. The feeling is amazing when someone praises! I feel proud and motivated.

My fellow artist were equally amazing and talented people. Gloria and Wanyka are two talented girls who have a great fashion sense and business mind.
CHeck out them on facebook-
Ying Gloria Chung and Wanyika Mshila

I wish I had my Canon 600D so that I could post some good pictured from the market but due to weight limitations on the flight I had to compromise on that.
Check out my new facebook page to get some glimpse from the market-

From concept to reality

The above image (left side) is a design made on Rhino 4.0 and rendered in Brazil. And the right side is a finished product 3d printed in nylon dyed with fine silver tube riveting and 42cm silver plated cable chain. ( To see more of my kinetic jewellery , log on to http://www.kineticpatterns.blogspot.com.au/ )

Its amazing how far the technology has taken us, helping us in every aspect of life. I always wanted to learn CAD to give my ideas a virtual reality. It really saves time and money.

In my quest to go beyond norms of jewellery, I aspire to add movement in my work. Each work is made of layers which rotates and form varying configurations. In the above photo, this kinetic pendant is made of five layers which can rotate and can be worn with different styles.

As we say, Variety is the spice of life!

My new range

Kinetic Patterns ( silver )
Kinetic Pendant-Sterling silver 925
This range is inspired from CAD command Polar Array. I make motifs from sterling silver wire. Each motif is joined through riveting which creates rotation. So you can move each layer of motif and wear a piece with different styles (as shown in above photo). There is 16" long sterling silver snake chain which has bolt ring clasps on its ends. So once you decide which style you want to wear, you can put clasps through anywhere. The basic idea is to provide varying styles in one piece to emote fun and fashion.
